BTC is currently trading around $96,000 and ETH around $3,850.  Notable gainers in the last 24 hours are TRX, HYPE, and MNT. The global crypto market cap is $3.73T, up 2.6% over the last day.  DeFi Total Value Locked is ~$127b and BTC dominance is around 55%.

Notable news includes: Australia’s ASIC requested feedback regarding updates to its digital asset regulations; Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba is reportedly “lukewarm” on crypto tax reform and allowing Bitcoin ETFs; Virgin Voyages launched the first cruise product to accept Bitcoin; Singaporean crypto payments provider DTCpay announced it will phase out BTC and ETH transactions to transition entirely to stablecoins; Celsius founder Mashinsky pled guilty to defrauding investors; DCG’s Foundry laid off employees; Grayscale filed to convert GSOL into a spot Solana ETF; MARA acquired a wind farm for its Advanced ASIC Retirement Initiative; Metavisio announced the development of the first web3 laptop with built in cold storage; a Cambridge research report found a “shocking” concentration or power in DAO governance; Vitalik proposed a new standard for Ethereum wallets; a critical vulnerability was discovered in certain versions of the Solana/web3.js library; Neon EVM announced a Solana-native framework to better integrate Ethereum dapps with Solana; Blackfrost and Filecoin partnered to make decentralized storage a backup layer to Cardano dapps built with Blackfrost; Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has surged over 200% since launch; Instadapp proposed a rebrand and new tokenomics after recently launching its Fluid dapp; memecoin issuance platform GraFun expanded to TON to enable memecoin creation right from Telegram; PancakeSwap revealed no code token launchpad SpringBoard; and, the founder of online black market and crypto mixer Hydra was sentenced to life in prison by a Russian court.
