It’s a light news day with equities little changed and crypto continuing to climb higher. In fact, Bitcoin hit another all-time high, nearly breaching $100,000 for the first time, while Solana reached a new all-time high of $262 on rising memecoin and DeFi activity and greater hopes for a US spot Solana ETF.
Notable news includes: Reuters reported that Trump’s proposed Crypto Advisory Council could set up a strategic Bitcoin reserve; the US state of Texas is reportedly exploring a strategic Bitcoin reserve; the spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $1b yesterday and $2.9b in the first four days this week; Schwab announced it will offer spot crypto trading once US regulations improve; German insurer Allianz bought 24% of MicroStrategy’s recent notes offering; and, indexing protocol The Graph introduced a web3 data standard called GRC-20.
